Conference Venue
The Conference Venue is

Southeast University, Sipailou 2#, Xuanwu District

It is near downtown Nanjing.

A shuttle bus will commute between downtown Nanjing and the conference venue. It will leave every morning from the city centre to the conference venue. The same service will be provided from the conference venue to downtown Nanjing after the end of the last session in the afternoon.

Official Languages
English (there will be no facilities for simultaneous translation).

Standard Audio-visual Set-up in Meeting Rooms
Every session room will have a video projector with PC. Speakers may inquire about ordering additional audio/visual equipment at .
The conference organizers do not provide computers for any speaker. For electronic presentations speakers must deliver their own USB pen to the Slide Centre at the conference venue.

Internet Access
An internet point will be available during the Conference.
For security reasons anyone who plans to use the internet needs to present a copy of her/his passport on-site at the registration desk
Wi-Fi is not available.

Poster Session
Posters must be in English and must remain displayed throughout the conference. Poster sessions are planned also during coffee breaks and lunches.

Letter of Official Invitation
Confirmed speakers in need of a letter of invitation for the visa application process, please send your request to before 25 March 2011.
Be sure to include the following information:
- Conference Title LUH2011
- Date of your presentation
- Name as it appears on your passport
- Date of birth
- Passport country of origin
- Passport number
Please note: This invitation implies no obligation, financial or otherwise, by the Conference Organizing Committee. Invitation will be sent to confirmed speakers only.
Passport and visa requirements are liable to change at short notice. Travelers are advised to check their entry requirements with their Embassies or Consulates.

Certificate of Attendance
Certificates of Attendance will be given to all registered participants at the Registration Desk on the last day of the conference.

The Scientific and Organizing Secretariats reserve the right to change the conference program for technical and/or scientific reasons.

Badges must always be visibly worn during scientific sessions, coffee breaks and lunches at the conference venue, and also during social programs and technical visits.

Coffee and Lunches
To fully registered participants wearing their badges, coffee and lunches will be served free of charge at the conference breaks.
Accompanying persons have neither access to scientific sessions nor to coffee and lunches at the conference.
Vegetarian dishes will be on the daily menu. For other special needs a great variety of food will be served. It should allow for sufficient alternatives in case of special diet restrictions.

In registering for the conference, participants agree that neither the Scientific Committee nor the Organizing Secretariat assumes any liability. Participants should therefore organize their own health and travel insurance.

Persons with Special Needs
Every effort will be made to ensure that people with special needs are cared for during the conference. Should you require any specific assistance, please let us know in advance via a remark on your registration form. It will assist us to make your stay in Nanjing pleasant and comfortable.

Banks - Currency
All banks in Nanjing exchange foreign currency and travellers' cheques.
Banks are open from Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The local currency is Chinese Renminbi Yuan ( RMB ¥). There is no restriction on the import of foreign currency into China and there are no limits for travellers' cheques. Automatic teller machines and exchange offices are readily available. Most hotels, restaurants and shops accept major credit cards but check first.

Shops in the centre of Nanjing are open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Electrical Supply
Electrical supply voltage is 220V 50Hz. Electrical sockets have two round holes. Appliances designed to operate on 110/120 volts need a voltage converter and a plug adapter.

Mail and Telecommunication
Post offices display the sign PT on green background. At a PT office you can telephone, send mail, telegrams and faxes. For local calls you can buy phone cards here or at any tobacconist. When calling abroad from Nanjing, first dial the international code "00", then the country code and then the number you want to call. The country code for China is +86. The city code for Nanjing is 025. Emergency numbers: Police 110, Ambulance 120, Fire 119.

Tipping is not necessary.

Due to its geographic position, Nanjing enjoys four seasons with temperatures ranging from 20°C to 40°C in summer and 0°C to 5°C in winter. June in Nanjing can be hot during the day - average temperatures are around 20 to 30 oC. Remember meeting room temperatures and personal comfort zones vary widely. We recommend you wear a shirt and a jacket for the sessions.

 Please note: In order to make every conference participant comfortable, a shuttle bus will be provided by the Conference Organization. Please submit AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE to information about your trip, such as:

Flight and flight number
Time of arrival
Time of departure
Hotel address
Number of persons

This information will help us to efficiently organize the shuttle buses.

How to Reach the Conference Venue

From Nanjing Lukou International Airport

From the Nanjing Lukou International Airport, take the airport bus (20Yuan), go to the Railway Station then take the bus No. 44 to the Sipailou stop (2 Yuan) or you can also take the Metro 1# to Zhujiang Road station, then you need walk about 10 minutes to northeast to the Conference Venue.. Tickets can be purchased on board.
For those wishing a more comfortable service taxi is of course the best way; taxi service from the airport costs about 100Yuan. You can ask the airport missionary to help you to get a taxi.

From Nanjing Railway Main Station

Nanjing railway main station is a few minutes from the Conference Venue by bus. Tickets must be bought before boarding the bus.
At Nanjing railway main station take bus 44 to the Sipailou stop (2 Yuan).
Alternatively take Metro 1# to Zhujiang Road station, then continue to walk about 10 minutes northeastbound to the conference venue.
A taxi from the railway main station to the conference venue is about 20 Yuan. A taxi stop is just outside the station.

From the Centre of Nanjing

From Xinjiekou District in the city centre, get on bus 2, then to the Sipailou stop (2 Yuan).
Alternatively take Metro 1# to Zhujiang Road station, then continue to walk about 10 minutes northeastbound to the conference venue.
