Received abstracts will be evaluated by the members of the Scientific Committee. All accepted presentations (oral and poster) are eligible for publication in the proceedings (ISHS Acta Horticulture) if manuscripts are submitted on time to the Editorial Board, and follow ISHS guidelines.
Please note: Your manuscript will not be considered for publication in Acta Horticulturae if we fail to receive the full registration to LUH 2011 (and payment) of at least one of the authors by Monday, April 9, 2011.

Authors of accepted papers are expected to provide the final copy in Microsoft Office Word ? files.
Please note: The Scientific Secretariat does not accept Microsoft Word 2007 documents (.docx files). Please use Word's "Save As" option to save your document as a .doc file type.
All papers must be in English. Non-English speaking authors who do not have a good command of English are advised to seek assistance from someone who has.
As a general rule, the maximum number of pages is 6 for submitted oral papers, and 4 for papers resulting from poster presentations. An average page of text will contain about 800 words. Any manuscript submitted that is too long will be returned to the corresponding author for redrafting within a suggested maximum wordage.
Papers reporting results of experiments normally include at least four sections: abstract; introduction; materials and methods; results and discussion. Abstracts or extended summaries will not be published in Acta Horticulturae.
Manuscripts for publication in Acta Horticulturae must be typed as indicated in the Instructions to Authors available at www.ishs.org/wri/pap1.htm.
Inadequately or incorrectly prepared manuscripts may be rejected. Authors will receive an immediate acknowledgement of receipt of their paper followed by a decision.
Proofs will be e-mailed as a word file to the corresponding author, whose e-mail address must be supplied on the manuscript (please, take care to write correctly the e-mail address). Proofs must be corrected and returned to sec.luh2011@gmail.com.
